Earth Rights Institute initiates and supports programs to reduce poverty and dramatically improve the quality of life in distressed rural and urban communities. We recognize that the challenges are complex and must be addressed in an holistic and integrated manner on several levels including: response to immediate human needs; capacity building for local based economies; reform of institutions of governance; innovative approaches to land tenure and public finance policy to ensure both fairness and efficiency in the production and exchange of wealth; build better partnerships that can come together to develop a strategic plan for a culture of peace
We stand for the human right to a healthy planet. This is what “earth rights” means to us.
We welcome your interest in being a volunteer or intern for us! Join us and experience what it is like to work for a non-profit working directly in partnership with the grassroots in helping eliminate poverty and learn more about the United Nations as we are an affiliated organization.
